Waste Connections Walk to End Diabetes

The JDRF One Walk has one goal: to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). T1D strikes both children and adults and isn’t caused by diet or lifestyle. Serious and difficult to manage, T1D impacts more than a million American adults and 200,000 people under 20 years old and each year 40,000 people receive a T1D diagnosis. By 2050, it’s estimated that 5 million Americans will have T1D driving the current $14 billion annual healthcare costs even higher.
